Vocalocity: A Hosted VoIP Company You Can Trust
If you own a small business, you likely recognize the need to appear sophisticated and professional to outsiders. And a major part of looking professional includes having a reliable communications system. At Vocalocity, we ensure your phone system is top of the line. Offering superior hosted VoIP services, our consultants custom design your plan to complement your small business needs. And there's no contract; our customers stay because they want to.
Cost Savings
VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, refers to a phone service that operates via the Internet. Traditional phone systems are often expensive, requiring additional fees for extra features and/or long distance calls. With hosted VoIP from Vocalocity, you pay a low flat rate, so you know what to expect budget-wise from month to month. And in today’s economic times, it’s nice to know you’re cutting down on cost.
At Vocalocity, we focus on small businesses. As a small business owner, we believe you’re contributing to job creation and economic growth, and we’re here to help you succeed. Effective means of communication is incredibly important in starting and maintaining a small business, and we strive to make the process easy, smooth and hassle-free. Our hosted VoIP system is exactly as the name implies: We host the equipment off site, so you don’t have to maintain any bulky equipment yourself.
A Flexible Phone System
Aside from affordability, our hosted VoIP services offer tremendous flexibility. For many small business owners, frequent travel is a necessity. At Vocalocity, we recognize the importance of needing a phone system that’s portable. Unfortunately, mobile phones aren’t always reliable, and unless you have an unlimited plan, they can be costly. With our VoIP phone system, you can make phone calls nearly anywhere around the world – wherever there is a broadband connection. Just plug your VoIP phone into an internet connection, and it’s as if you brought the office with you.
Features to Fit Every Company
Vocalocity offers a full fledged business feature set included at no extra cost when you sign up with even just one unlimited extension. Our included feature set is designed to cover the communication needs of the majority of small businesses. We have sophisticated communications tools that are easy to use and set up, and will maximize your phone service.
Calling Features:
Every Vocalocity account automatically gets a range of powerful calling features included with their system for no extra charge. Calling features are easy to manage from a web portal that each user can access with their own password.
Voicemail to Email
Every user can assign an email address where they would like to receive their voicemails. The voicemail is sent as an MP3 or WAV attachment, and can be listened to on a smartphone or computer. This can be a convenient time saving device, as employees can check their voicemail more readily, without needing to be near their deskphone.
Call Forwarding
Call Forwarding is a powerful feature that has a number of different settings that each user can customize to fit their preferences and work habits. Settings are saved in the employees password protected online user interface, and can be changed quickly and easily at any time. Calls can be set to forward to a number for a period of time, then to another number, and then finally to voicemail. Or users can set Simultaneous Ring, which rings several different numbers at once, for example a deskphone and a mobile phone.
Work From Anywhere
Hosted VoIP allows for a unique phone system feature that offers more flexibility than any other; the ability to work from anywhere. VoIP connects phones to the system through the internet, and registers their connection through a unique IP address. This means that phones don’t need to be plugged into any particular physical location, just the internet itself. Employees can take their phone home or on the road and still be reached at the same number and extension and have access to all of the same system features.
Dashboard
The Dashboard is an administrative tool that gives system administrators a real time view of their entire system. Every extension in your account is visible in real time, and displays call activity information such as the number the extension is on call with, and the duration of the call. The Dashboard is a useful monitoring tool for administrators, as well as receptionists, as it shows which extensions are available to take a call.
Call Transfer and Call Park
Call Transfer allows your employees to easily transfer a call to another extension on your account. The transfers can either be done “blind” or “attended”. A “blind” transfer means that the transfer will begin immediately once the other user picks up the phone. An “attended” transfer means that first the original call recipient speaks to transferee to let them know a call is being transferred to them, then the transfer is completed.
Business IP Phones
VoIP is rapidly becoming the communications system of choice for small businesses across the country. VoIP is more affordable and feature rich than traditional service, and the phones are more sophisticated. Fortunately for Vocalocity customers, Business IP phones are an investment that they can be confident in making.
Some VoIP providers use proprietary or “locked” phones that will only work with their service. This is keeps businesses from leaving the provider if they are dissatisfied, as once they leave their investment will be rendered obsolete. Vocalocity on the other hand recommends IP phones from top providers that will work well with our service, but others as well. You’ll never need to worry about your investment going to waste.
The Proprietary Technology Difference
Many hosted VoIP companies utilize open source code to run their systems. This means that the backbone of their technology infrastructure was developed by multiple unknown third party developers outside of their company. Vocalocity on the other hand developed the coding for its system entirely in-house. Our developers and engineers know our system backwards and forwards, because they built it from the ground up.
Proprietary technology means that we can make system changes, updates, and implement new features quickly and efficiently. Our developers know how new elements will interact with our system, and can deploy them to keep up with the ever changing needs of our customers.
