You can record greetings to welcome your callers and to relay them towards different information. Many times callers are simply looking for directions, and through the Virtual Receptionist callers can get all the info they need simply by following prompts and listening to recordings. If callers do want to reach a live person, they can choose the appropriate extension, and if no one is available their call is routed to voicemail that you can check later. 

The Virtual Receptionist can even be set to have different rules based on the time of day or day of the week, so that callers are always directed to the right place. These rules are simple to setup in your Vocalocity User Interface. You can set up rules to play different messages at different times of day. For instance, in off hours your greeting can welcome potential guests, tell them where you are located and what local attractions there are, and then direct them to press a number to leave a message, or different numbers for more information about different topics such as directions. The Virtual Receptionist performs all of the functions of a human receptionist, and will always follow the rules that you set.
